Untitled

by Alana G, ON, Canada, Age 13

What is the color of eyes that have broken a thousand hearts?
What is the name of a child so evil her very hairs fall out afraid of its own head?
What becomes of a person who tames a heart as dark as a moonless night?
Behind brown eyes is an endless eclipse.
The name is of beauty, but the child is of a different breed of beauty.
A beauty that is untame,
A beauty that is dark,
The beauty of pure evil.
She carelessly rips and shreads all the minds of those who surround her.
She cares not if she is left alone.
Or so you think.
For the child only wishes for those who are wise enough to understand that she loathes herself.
She ruins her own life to feed her soul of misery.
In her dreams her black wings spread and she flies towards her home,
Never quite reaching it.
For even the firey depths that created her will not take her back.
But there is one who gives her a glimmer of hope.
The child pushes him away,
Not wanting him to see her own misery.
She has no hope for the future, she only hopes to die or be exhiled from the earth plain.
But the boy speaks different.
He gives her hope and opens her black heart to new things.
He shows her love and caring,
Though his tries are almost useless.
Almost.
No matter how hard evil tries there will always be at least partially evil.
She spreads her dark wings and flies to the boy in his dreams.
But the boy tames the wings so they fall limply to the ground.
No matter how hard she tries,
She cannot live without him.
Even evil cannot live without love.
They call her Melivia,
And her evil has been tamed.
