From the author who brought us Fast Food Nation (soon to be a major motion picture), Chew On This, by Eric Schlosser, is a must read.

This new book blows the lid off the fast food industry, exposing all the dirty little secrets and everything you probably don’t want to know about fast food.

Intended to relate to a teen audience, Chew On This gives shocking details about what happens in a slaughterhouse, working conditions in fast food restaurants, marketing strategies used to reel in consumers and how overweight teenagers are having surgeries to make their stomachs smaller.

You will even learn the secret ingredient that makes your drink pink (hint: it has many legs) and a special ingredient often found in meat (see page 198).

Chew On This tells us what the mainstream media never would and what our parents and teachers don’t even know.

A great read! Highly recommended.
