Faze Holiday Party
It seems like it was just yesterday where the Faze team celebrated the Holiday season atBabalúu's! This year, the party started at the Faze Headquarters with a big Secret Santa gift exchange. The party continued at Spacco Restaurant and Bar where we stuffed our faces with mounds of calamari, portobello and cheese crostinis, pasta, pizza, salad, and desserts galore followed by a series of pool tournaments!

Tobago Tourism Media Event
Paul went to check out the Tobago Tourism event at the Intercontinental and was happy to meet up with a good crowd of Trinis and sample classic Caribbean comfort food. Nalini Galbaransingh, the manager of two of Tobago's finest resorts, the Grafton and the Grand Courlan, provided charming cocktail chat about the island of Tobago in between performances by Soca girl Adanna.

Blackberry Storm Launch
For the launch of the Blackbery Storm smartphone, the event team at Telus thought outside of the box and went for an edgier, non-traditional Telus party look. The party catered to over 300 guests who grazed through the prosciutto/shrimp/oyster/fish/veggie table while listening to Canadian artists the Stars and DJ Brendan Canning (Broken Social Scene) perform. Usher VIP Pre-Party Hosted by Sony Ericsson & The Green Gala
Paul and Karmen were invited by the gals over at the iPR group to join them and the Sony Ericsson folks for the Usher pre-party at Kool Haus where they got a chance to test out the latest and greatest mobile devices. After an hour or so, P & K made their way into the concert venue where the Atlanta-based RnB heartthrob had all the screaming girls eating out of the palm of his hands. Overall, the concert was most definitely a crowd pleaser despite the odd time fillers :)

Fashion Takes Action: The Green Gala
In a busier than usual evening, after the Usher event, Paul and Karmen rushed over to meet Carolee for Canada's Greenest Fashion Event...The Green Gala. A mix of professional models, Canadian media and celebrities came together to raise awareness of the planet's currentl climate change situation.

TD Canadian Children's Literature Award
d The Canadian Children's Book Centre and TD Bank Financial Group awarded Christopher Paul CCurtis $20,000 for his children's book, Elijah of Buxton. Curits was selected as the best amongst five others. Paul was there for Curtis's proud moment.

Lacoste & The Cadbury Couture Collection Fashion Show
Lots of running around today =X
First, Lorraine and Karmen got the chance to check out Lacoste's new flagship store on Bloor Street West. Lacoste celebrated their 75th anniversary last June by partnering up with the team at Visionaire to create a four-volumed collection of full-colour, photographically-printed Lacoste polo shirts featuring artwork by well-known photographers and artists.

Kreesha Turner Photoshoot
Almost the entire Faze team spent the afternoon on set of the Kreesha Turner photoshoot where Esteban Ortiz (Makeup) and Leland Olson from Exit Salon (hair) prepared Kreesha for stylist Carolee Custus and photographer David Hou to work their magic. The shoot was for the next revamped issue of Faze Magazine! Look out for the magazines to hit newsstands. Click for a behind-the-scenes look at the shoot.

LG Fashion Fusion Party
LG Electronics held their inaugral Fashion Week party, closing out another fabulous week. The party included a performance by Maroon 5 while models showcased the various works of designers such as Greta Constatine. This party was a great finale to the week. Kudos to the vision of Fashion Week founder Robin Kay and the hard work of her team.

Once again Faze covered the Bell Celebrity Gala in style. As always we met tons of fabulous people, saw amazing performances by Canadian artists and mingled with the celeb crowd all while helping Karmen track down George St-Pierre ^_^

Good ol' Playstation 3 fun!
Faze Techies Paul, Ted and Karmen checked out the Playstation 3 event where they got a chance to test out all the current and up and coming games for the PS3 as well as catch up with their friends from THQ (Kris McDonald), SEGA (Mabel and Ken), Ubisoft (Christophe Grandjean) and of course, Playstation (Matt Levitan). Things got a little heated when Ted and Karmen threw down on screen playing the latest WWE Smackdown vs. Raw.

Good ol' Disney fun!
Once again, the gaming gurus Paul and Karmen head off to the Disney Interactive Studio offices to demo new video games for the whole day (and by "whole day", I mean an hour =X ). There were actually pretty neat games that we tested and were shown such as PURE, TH!NK Fast, Bolt and Ultimate Band where Paul was having way too much fun playing the drums pretending to be a rockstar while Karmen was pretending to be a superstar with the cast of High School Musical 3!Goooooo Argentina!
Lorraine and Paul had the chance to be introduced to the beautiful Argentinian province of Misiones. Governor Maurice Fabian Closs and the Head of Strategic Affairs Sergio Dobrusin showcased the many attractions Argentina has to offer including the spectacular Iguazu Falls (shown above) - quite the sight! We can't wait to report on it in person!

Faze Goes to Berlin (okay not really, but Berlin came to us...)
Paul and Kelly Ann attended the Berlin Tourism Dinner at the plush Four Seasons Hotel in Toronto where the Berlin Tourism board was pushing hard to celebrate the 20th anniversary of the fall of the Berlin Wall.

X'08 - Every gamers' heaven!
Karmen and Paul, the gaming gurus, mozied on down to Microsoft's X08 event at Circa. Obviously, there was something there for everyone considering how many game publishers were in attendance from Microsoft and EA to UbiSoft and Activision and much more. We were able to test out current and soon to be released game titles like Gears of War 2, NHL 2K9, Lips, and High School Musical 3. Not everything was about gaming though...we got a chance to sit down with David Vitale of Samsung Electronics Canada to speak about the new Samsung 850 series of TVs as well as experience the first 3-D capable TV (see below)
