June 13-Jayne is leaving us for a week in NYC...have fun!
June 11-Faze was down at the Shaw Festival at Niagara-on-the-Lake
checking out an afternoon play and interviewing two of
its young stars, Nicole Underway and Harry Judge for an
upcoming career piece on being a stage actor. They were
great. Oh yeah, and Niagara-on-the-Lake has some great
ice cream stores! Mmmmm-mm.
June 9-Our two senior editors Lorraine and Surya went
to the Canadian Journalism Awards event/dinner at the
Metro Convention Centre.
 June 9-Another fantastic time at this year's EMI Music
Publishing summer rooftop party. Always the hottest party
of the NXNE music festival, this year had the usual eclectic
mix of musicians and industry types, from Kalen Porter
to Fefe Dobson to the boys from Billy Talent (singer Ben
Kowalewicz is pictured at left with Faze girls Holly and
Berkley). Thanks to Mike and his crew for putting on a
great event. Lorraine (Faze founder/editor) even ran into
her old boss up from New York, Steve Scharf, from back
when she used to work in Manhattan in the music publishing
biz.

9-Our style editors Jayne and Alana went to the party
announcing ECKO's 'Getting Up' hip hop bash happening
later in August at The Docks in Toronto, which will feature
Nas, L'il Jon, Ciara, Kanye West, Ludacris and a boatload
of other big names, including Canada's own Swollen Members,
Rascalz and Kardinal Offishal. ECKO clothing founder Marc
Ecko was there at the party. Here's some of the Faze editoral

June 9-Lorraine was at Covergirl Event at the Tea Emporium.
June 7-A trip to Hamilton to meet the Absolute team (they're
taking a huge group of teens to Dominican Rep. to build
homes for Haitian refugees. Checked out a great band at
the Lazy Flamingo.
May 31-Interview number two with the Killers as they passed
through Toronto!
May 29-The Faze team (10 of us) ran in the NIKE 10K in
Toronto. Weather wasn't spectacular but it was a good
time, running on the island was really nice, we ran on
grass, sand, road, wooden boardwalk. Congrats to everyone
on our team, especially Rebecca, Ashley, Holly and Kyle
(who was the fastest of our crew). Check out more on the Faze

May 8-HAPPY MOTHER'S DAY to moms everywhere!

May 1-Lorraine was in Montreal for the L'Oreal Professional
Color Style Awards
May 1-Sporting 10K Run...some of the Faze team ran the
morning race, decked out in some great running gear from
Nike Canada, thanks to Derek Kent and Mike Beleza for
your support!
Apr 28-An interesting mix tonight: A dog fashion show
(Paris Hilton would have been impressed) in Yorkville
and a teen girl prom fashion show at Queen St. W. boutique
Exhibit to promote Jeanne Beker's new book The Big Night
Out.
Apr 26-A busy day for Faze writers with both Sloan and
Juice interviews scheduled
Apr 22-Faze interviewed The Killers for the upcoming Summer
Issue.

Mar 21-Happy Spring! Man, that took a long time to arrive. And why is the first day of Spring always changing???
Mar 11-Congratulations to Madeleine S from Toronto who
won the Ashlee Simpson contest! Have a great time at showand

Mar 10-Jayne and Alana were there for a launch party for
Toronto Fashion Week.
Mar 9-A last minute contest is up on the site to meet
Ashlee Simpson and check her out in concert when she visits

1-VIRGIN MOBILE Canada launched its new prepaid cellphone
service today with much fanfare...UK
billionaire-entrepreneur Sir Richard Branson rode
a zipline from the top of a tower down to Dundas Square
in Toronto, jumped in a monster truck and crushed
some cars. Youth focused, edgey and fun their ad campaign
launches in a couple of weeks. Sir Richard hosts a
launch party this evening...more photos to follow. |

Feb 28-Lorraine and Kelly went to the screening of MGM's
Be Cool starring John Travolta and the after party in
Toronto. Two thumbs up from both our reviewers, a review
will be online very soon!
