JUN 20-Faze was checking out the MUCHMUSIC VIDEO AWARDS again this year. Watch for a full section with Exclusive photos and event notes! Faze Covergirls Hilary Duff (Spring04) and Avril Lavigne (Summer04) were both there, as were Kanye West, Evanesence, FingerEleven , Sum41 and multiple award winners Billy Talent. Afterwards it was off to the Revolver afterparty (were we also ckecked out the newest NGage handheld gamer/cellphone from NOKIA.)
JUN 18-Jayne leaves for Italy!!! She'll be in Rome and Venice and a few places in between for the next two weeks. Have fun girl...watch out for those Italian boys....
JUN 12- Oh yeah....check out the hottest contest you could imagine...the California Spa Getaway sponsored by L'Oreal Paris PureZone. JUN 2-Scott and Kelly checked out the LG Electronics event.
MAY 2004
MAY 30-A large Faze contingent was in Ottawa for the weekend for the National Capital Marathon, Lorraine, KellyAnn, Jen, Rob and Paul ran in the half marathon and Jayne, Alana and Sabrina ran in the 5km. The weather was beautiful and once again we agreed that Ottawa is a fantastic town.
MAY 29-To wrap up a 6 month promotion/contest, the winners Meaghan and Jo-Jo co-hosted a hot episode of Teens Dating during their trip to the Caribbean Island of Tobago. The episode airs Saturday May 29th at 11:30 am on GlobalTV across Canada.
MAY 28-A screening party for the Tobago episode of TeensDating on Global at host Rob Brunner's Toronto swank pad.
MAY 26-Surya and Paul checked out the VANS skateboard demo event in Woodbridge, ON, interviewed a few of the stars.
MAY 22-Faze's initial photoshoot for Back-to-School, run by Jayne and Surya.

MAY 19-Paul is in Germany for the launch of Nike Free, a new training shoe that lets an athlete's foot move as if were barefoot...gaining the benefits of barefoot training that many trainers and doctors highly recommend. Paul had a chance to test out the new shoes on the University of Cologne indoor track.
MAY 17-Publisher Paul is off to Germany to report on the global launch of a major new running shoe technology from Nike. Taking place at the University of Cologne, Paul's report will be featured on the website and in the Back-to-School issue of Faze.
MAY 16-Paid a visit to the set of audition for GlobalTV's Teen Dating. Catherine Ryan, the new host was gently grilling prospective teen daters to be featured on the show that airs 11:30 am every Saturday.
MAY 15-Lorraine and Jayne got the royal treatment at Marc Anthony Salon and were transformed into movie stars with complete hair colour and style makeovers.
MAY 12-Surya interviewed New Zealand pop-punk band Steriogram in Toronto.
MAY 12-Launch party for a new Garnier line of hair colouring. A very hip event with part of the entertainment featuring a very talented girl DJ.
MAY 12-Photoshoot down at DF Salon on funky hair styles. Thanks to Daniel Fung, and to our models (or should we say guinea pigs?) Stephanie, Maya, Holly & Melissa.
MAY 9-TVO was filming Faze at work in our offices featuring our teen editor Maya and new intern Ashley hard and work. The footage was for an episode of Planet Parent airing in the fall.
MAY 6-A surprise b-day party and all-star jam session at the El Mocambo in Toronto for Mike. Mike's one of the nicest guys in the music industry (prez of EMI) and a big crowd was out to wish him the best. Many of us took to the stage to jam throughout the night. Notable performers included the guys from Billy Talent, the girls from Shaye, Marc Contanzo from Len, Alan Frew from Glass Tiger, Esthero, Orrin Isaacs, Zack from Canadian Idol on guitar and many others.
MAY 2-A Faze team runs in the Sporting Life 10K race, helping a charity to fund Camp Oochigaes, a camp for children and teens with cancer (www.ooch.org). Everyone completed the race in under an hour with a notable run from our team's Rob Warden at 39:36, finishing in the top 4%.
MAY 2 -Faze's Jayne Rae, not to be outtravelled...also flew to New York for the weekend. But catch this...she went to attend premiere showing of a movie she starred in!!!! It was a short film screened at a New York film festival. Jane lived in NYC for several years training and acting on stage getting ready for her future stardom. (Way to go Jayne!!!)

APR 29-Surya, our associate editor is off to New York for a press event for Biore skicare!!! She had a great time and we'll get some photos up soon from her visit.

APR 19-Welcome to our new teen intern Ashley.
APR 18-Jayne, our assistant publisher and a part-time actress was down in Niagara on the Lake checking out plays at the Shaw Festival which is opening with Shaw's Pygmalion and Oscar Wilde's "The Importance of Being Earnest"
APR 13-Faze was at the Face of Fashion charity fashion show sponsed by Alberto Europeen. A wonderful show, with an Moroccan theme for the entire evening, belly dancers included. Alberto has been sponsoring some exciting style events lately, this one raised money to help women victims of domestic violence.
APR 12-Editor Lorraine is off to Beaverton, Oregon, home of Nike to check out the science behind their latest shoe and clothing breakthroughs.
APR 9-Have a Good Friday and a Great Weekend!APR 7-At the Panasonic 2004 Consumer Electronics Show, some very sweet toys. In particular we loved the hi-definition widescreen TVs...the image and colours were breathtaking. Some cool portable MP3/CD players as well from the Shockwave line.
Apr 6-Everyone from Faze is now back in the office after a wonderful two weeks in Tobago, our favourite island in the Caribbean! We had great summer fashion photoshoots while down there, featuring Faze's Maya and GirlzTV hosts Joy and Sara and Rob Brunner from TeensDating.
Thanks to everyone in Tobago who helped make this an amazing experience for everyone. Special thanks to Joan Applewaithe. MAR 29-The Gonser girls (Meaghan, Jordanna, Liz) are off to Tobago for their Ultimate Island Adventure! They safely left for Tobago with the cast and crew of Teens Dating and GirlzTV and Faze's Maya. Have fun everyone and wear that sunscreen!
MAR 23-Faze's Lorraine, Jayne and Alana are off to get things ready in Tobago for the three winners of the Lady Speed Stick Island Adventure. Our winner Meaghan and Jordanna Gonser (and their mom Liz) will be heading down on the 29th with the hosts and crews from Teens Dating and GirlzTV to film a week living on a tropical island!

MAR 21-The First Option Model Search was put on by Peace Management this afternoon in Toronto. A stunning collection of teens and young women strutted their stuff for the judges. Included among the judges were Faze's own style editor/consultant Alana (who also is a designer of evening wear and swimsuits) and Assistant Publisher Jayne, a former model and now a part-time actress. Good luck to all the potential supermodels. Watch out for more First Option Talent searches that will include Actors/Singers/Dancers.
MAR 19-Checked out Bob Dylan's performance in Toronto...the guy is definitely a legend worthy of a lot of adulation. But...these days it's virtually impossible to understand what the man is saying/singing. Needed subtitles for the show, perhaps even banners on the big screen telling the audience what song is being sung. Thanks to Rob and Caro for the invite.
Mar 19-Running around Toronto getting things ready for the Faze fashion photoshoot taking place on the beaches of the sunny island of Tobago in early April.
Mar 18-A couple of Faze girls were out getting complimentary pedicures at a Spa day hosted by Jergens. They'll be showing off their toes when they head down to Tobago next week to coordinate Faze's contest winners' trip down at the end of the month with TV crews from GirlzTV and TeensDating.MAR 16-Paul and Jayne checked out the launch of the newest edition of Splinter Cell (Pandora Tomorrow) featuring Michael Ironside, the voice of the game's here. Hosted by the lovely and talented Tali Fischer.

MAR 11-Faze was out on the town as retailer Bluenotes and skate-culture clothing co. Third Rail hosted an evening featuring bands such as Flashlight Brown (Faze's choice for #1 emo-punk release of 2003).MAR 11-Busy day...Faze was at an event hosted by (Winter2001) Faze coverguy George Strompomboulous for (Winter2002) Faze covergirl Avril Lavigne! Avril put on a brief acoustic set for her fans at Fairview Mall.
MAR 11-Lorraine and Jayne were off to the launch of Swedish clothing retailer, H&M at Toronto's Fairview mall...very cool European styling, affordable price....kinda like the IKEA of clothing store. Jatte kul, eller hur? (That's Swedish for "Pretty cool, huh?")

MAR 9-Checked out the latest cellphone technology from Sony Ericsson, the Japanese-Swedish joint venture merging cellphones with digital camera with lots of other hi-tech gadgetry.

MAR 4-Faze's Jayne is off to New York City for the weekend! Whoo-hoo...
MAR 1-The Winter Contests have closed...now the grueling task of compiling all the entries and randomly selecting the winners. In total we had about 30,000 entries in the contest, a new monstrous record!
MAR 1-New records in visitors on the Faze website...Jan & Feb saw 112,000 visitors to the site.

FEB 1-Wow! December was a record month for web activity and now January has beat that record! Had 54,495 visitors. February already is looking to beat that. The Caribbean contest has been getting promoted on GlobalTV these days so that's helping steer a bunch of new people to the site as well.

JAN 30-Faze's Jayne Rae just wrapped up a few days of shooting her scenes for a new movie coming out later this year called Institutionalized. She played the star's girlfriend. Go, Jayne, Go!
JAN 23-Editor Surya is off to India for three weeks! Have a great trip girl!
