MARCH 2002

MAR 30-All the stories from the Fall 2001 Issue of Faze are now online! Lots of great pics will follow soon.

MAR 26-Interviewing great new Canadian band A Simple Plan, out of Montreal...look for coverage in the summer issue of Faze Magazine. Later, Faze's Maya and Lorraine attended the Mike Bullard Show featuring guests A Simple Plan.

MAR 24-Whew...was that the most boring Oscars ever or what!!! The granddaddy of the many annual popularity contests for the Hollywood film industry saw strong shows of support for any movie that featured American soldiers and the night was especially sweet for the ethnic African community in the USA, with hottie Halle Berry and Denzel Washington pulling off big upsets for best actor/actress. Australian Russell Crowe likely would have won if he didn't appear to break the marriage of American sweetheart, Meg Ryan.

MAR 11-Checked out the CTV studios, actually got lost in the CTV studios, TSN hockey host Gord Miller let us in the back door and we wandered through the TSN and CTV studios until we found our way to the front desk. Busy place...I think they need a bigger building. Note: CTV owns TSN, Comedy Network, OLN, and 11 other channels.

MAR 10--Oh yeah! New spring contest info on the website. Check out the new spring 2002 issue at Chapters and Indigo. Win a Motorola VBox with 3 months free service from Rogers ATT Wireless. Win a pair of high performance Rollerblades, Roots Olympic Sweaters, Bubble Bag scented purses. More contests always coming online and in the magazine.

MAR 9--Maya checked out The Calling at their Toronto gig at the Opera House. Two thumbs up says she.

MAR 8--Off to interview the band, The Calling, as they visit Toronto on a busy touring schedule. Stay tuned for the interview in the next issue (Summer 2002)

MAR 8--Happy International Women's Day!

MAR 7--Faze Mag was at Sony Music for the showcase of a new band, Flicker, that is on the verge of being signed to a major contract. They put on a great performance, showing they could take their studio sound and put it on stage live. Good luck to them!

All you budding Nelly Furtadoes and Jewels and Kitties...this means you! We met up with some great girls: Anastasia from Montreal band SKY, Laryssa Harapyn from STAR! TV, Exan from MTV, and India.Irie, who was there performing a few tunes for the crowd at Guvernment Nightclub in Toronto. Photos coming to the gallery soon!!

FEB 16--
The winners from the WHAM-O Snowboogine Board Contest have been selected and we're contacting them...shame about there being no snow (in Southern Ontario, anyways.) Who says global warming is hoax?
