Goo Goo Dolls

The
Goo Goo Dolls are a prime example of what drive and determination
will reward you with: success and respect. Even if you’re
not entirely familiar with the band, you’ve likely heard
a few of their smash hits including “Iris” from the
City of Angels soundtrack. The Goo Goo Dolls, made up
of lead vocalist/guitarist Johnny Rzeznik, bassist Robby Takac,
and drummer Mike Malinin, send out lyrics with honest messages,
helping fans able to connect with the band and with reality. “I
think to be really honest in your songs you have to be brave with
it, and fearless as far as what the outcome is going to be and
what people’s opinions are going to be,” says Johnny.
“As long as you are speaking your mind and speaking your
heart, then you are being as honest as you can possibly be.”
And the Dolls have done just that, creating continuous success
for themselves, and adding their newest CD, Let Love In,
to their list of accomplishments. Every song on their new CD is
about real issues in life, or about scenarios lived by the band.
The trio members have stayed true to themselves to get where they
are today, and have proved that honesty really is the best policy
if you want to reach your goals.
The band: Goo Goo Dolls, the Buffalo-born alternative
rock band, which was originally named the Sex Maggots.
A message to the fans: “Follow your passion
and don't be afraid to make mistakes.”
Right now: A new CD, Let Love In.
