What it’s about:
In this game, you play as a man who has to take down 16 “colossi”
(which are giant creatures) one-by-one in order to bring your
lover’s soul back. That’s it. No fighting underlings
or groups of warriors. Just you against 16 giant colossi,
and all you’ve got are your sword, bow and arrow and
your horse, Agro.
What’s
good about it: This game is simple in that
there’s not much to figure out. You ride around with
your horse, press O to bring out your sword and the sun will
reflect off it pointing you in the direction of the next colossi.
The landscapes look beautiful, and the colossi are as big
as they look. Look for those glowing weak spots and you’re
good to go. This is one of those games that even non-gamers
could get into. Just make them watch you fight one of the
colossi, and they’ll be hooked.

What’s
NOT good about it: It’s pretty short
when you go through all 16 colossi because once you’ve
taken them all down, there’s nothing left to do. That
pretty much means that there’s no replay value here.
There’s no major incentive to take a second crack at
the giants after beating them all once, unless your friends
want a shot at them.
What’s
the verdict: The verdict is that this game
is fantastic, even if it is too short. It has a different
take on gameplay, and since it is so much fun to play, it
deserves a lot of credit. You have to try this game out at
least once, even if it is just a rental.
