Web
design firm owner wins national
YTV Achievement Award for Business
FOR IMMEDIATE
RELEASE
TORONTO June 2, 1999 -
Hilary Rowland, owner of Web site development firm Hilary Interactive
Inc., has been awarded the YTV Achievement Award for business. She
was selected from 2,300 nominees nationwide.
"Determining
the winners for this year's Awards was no easy task." says
Paul Robertson, President of YTV. "The winners in each of the
categories have one thing in common. They deserve our recognition
and accolades for their accomplishments." The awards are open
to candidates 19 and under.
Hilary's
successful Web site development firm has international clientele
including manufacturers, publishers, and the Ontario Government.
Prior to launching Hilary Interactive Inc., her career as a professional
fashion model based in Toronto had taken her to Tokyo and Taipei
on contract. Her interest in fashion and modeling led her to develop
two Web content sites, one of which, The Insider¹s Guide to
Supermodels and Modeling, gets more than two million hits per month.
The other is an ezine, Hilary Magazine (www.hilary.com), which features
reviews, travel and fashion articles and opinion pieces aimed at
young readers. Hilary is also the owner of New Faces Talent (www.newfaces.com),
a popular on-line portfolio service for models, actors and photographers.
"It
was an honour to be chosen as the winner in the 10th Annual YTV
Achievement Awards," says Hilary. "I congratulate YTV
for holding these awards ceremonies every year. Meeting the other
talented winners has really restored my faith in today's youth."
The
awards ceremony, which will be televised nationally on June 6, 1999
at 7pm EST, will feature such celebrities as Ben Savage and Danielle
Fischel from Boy Meets World and hit pop group B*Witched.
