Pitney Bowes Postage Meter - SCAMS

Problems & Issues

In our opinion
PITNEY BOWES ARE GUILTY OF UNSCRUPULOUS SELLING PRACTICES AND BRUTAL CUSTOMER SERVICE

Sneaky, unprofessional, desperate sales ploys used to snare customers.

If anyone calls you up to "try out" a new postage meter, AVOID LIKE THE PLAGUE!

Ours arrived without an ink cartridge, and without any account documentation or contract information leaving us completely in the dark as to the terms or without any contact information. That should have been our first clue this was a scam. (The original "selling" agency was a third party telemarketing company that obviously made commission $$ suckering as many people to take the baited hook trial. We called them to cancel/take back the meter but they claimed they were unable to help. We asked them to have someone respond to us from either their office or Pitney Bowes but we never received a return call)

Pitney Bowes will be hoping that your short trial period expires and as you desperately try to find someone to contact at Pitney Bowes to arrange return of the device they will tell you now OWN it for at least one full paid year...in other words, you owe them HUNDREDS of DOLLARS!!!

EVEN IF YOU NEVER USED OR WANTED THE DEVICE.

We all run businesses (most of us?) Let's say we kindly offer a free trial to a client by saying "hey, try it for a couple of months, and if you like it you can buy it" and then disappear, not giving them any way of contacting us to give it back, not giving them any paperwork/contract refering to the offer, and then sending them a letter demanding a $1000 from this client who is dying to give the piece of junk back. How slimy, unprofessional and unscrupulous would we be for trying to pull a fast one?
WE'D BE JUST LIKE PITNEY BOWES.
