If you’re into shows like The O.C., Dawson’s Creek and Beverly Hills 90210, tune in to Global Television on Saturday, January 29 at 8 pm to see Falcon Beach, the tv movie pilot for Canada’s own one-hour teen relationship drama series.

Directed by Bill Corcoran (Atomic Twister, Quints), FALCON BEACH tells the story of a collection of teenagers summering in the fictional resort town of Falcon Beach on beautiful Lake Winnipeg. Steve Byers (My Brother’s Keeper, House of the Dead) plays Jason Tanner, the local wakeboard jock who falls for snobby Toronto rich girl Paige Bradshaw, played by Jennifer Kydd (Rush of Fear, Love That Boy). Ephraim Ellis (Frozen Territory, Degrassi:The Next Generation) plays Jason’s sidekick Danny, an arcade attendant determined to win the heart of his long-time crush, the lovely and unsuspecting lifeguard Erin, played by Melissa Elias (2030 CE, Everybody’s Doing It). Things really begin to heat up when Jason’s childhood sweetheart Tanya, played by Devon Weigel (Touching Evil, Road Show), returns home from modelling in Europe, and falls for the dubious charms of Toronto rich-boy Lane Bradshaw played by Eric Johnson (Ginger Snaps: Unleashed, Hollywood Wives: The Next Generation).

Featuring the music of Sam Roberts, Holly McNarland, Sloan, Aveo, Pilate, Matt Mays, Doctor, The Eames Era, Da Griff, Meligrove Band, Mia, Jahranimo, The Mark Inside, Paper Moon and Zukie Joseph, Falcon Beach is a TV movie pilot for a one-hour dramatic series in which class conflict and the drama of youth play out over the long hot days of summer.
