Watts, California native Tyrese has just released this
great CD - putting him back into the media spotlight (remember
his classic print ads for Guess and a Coke commercial?)
With a new movie, 'Baby Boy' and hit CD - Tyrese is well
on his way.
Tyrese didn't always have it easy, though: "I don't
come from an easy background." he said in a recent
Faze interview. "I hear people complain 'Oh my god
my private jet is running 2 hours late'
those are
problems anyone would love to have. I come from problems
that are so crazy and overwhelming that I complained about
them - I had problems with my problems!
But if I'm going to complain about something, I'm going
to do something about it." And Tyrese obviously did
something about his problems, finding successful early
in his life: "At 16 I got a hold of enough money
to buy a house - and I did"
Having
the chance to collaborate with the likes of Babyface,
Rodney Jerkins, Jermaine Dupri and Diane Warren was part
of the reason why the 2000 Watts CD is so special to Tyrese
(he co-wrote most of the songs on the album). With his
first single, "I Like Them Girls", Tyrese has
already made quite a splash on the radio. The only test
he faces is keeping up the hype with releases to keep
everyone feeling his vibe and insure his musical longevity.
