Whaddya Think?
What Would You Change About the World?

By Shenieka Russell-Metcalf, 17

Racism is a crazy problem that many are faced with universally. Anti-racism projects are key in having a great, flourishing society.
Damion D., 17
I saw a clip of a movie Vanilla Ice was in. It was the worst minute and thirty seconds of my life. I would do away with that film and get my 90 seconds back.
Steve F., 18
War. So many innocent people die in war and what do we have to show for it? It is sad to see how many people die for their country.
Candice G., 18
Students should be more aware of global issues, whether they be political, environmental, or technological. We can only better the world further if we
know more about it.

Arini M., 17
Unity between everyone. No matter what race, religion, colour, ethnicity, creed. No segregation; us all living in harmony together.
Megan C., 17
Reduce tuition fees. We pay so much to further our education, when in the long run we are the ones who are going to be building the economy and helping run the world.
Aranan T., 17
The way people are or think. If people weren’t so selfish, this world would be a wicked place to live in.
Carolina C. A., 18
Free tuition for university or college.
May H., 17
One thing that I would change about the world would be racism. Even though our world acts like there is no racism, we all know it still exists. People need to learn to be more accepting and to take people the way they are.
Zunaira S., 18
One thing that I would change about the world would be poverty. I think everyone deserves to get an equal chance at life. In Canada we are pretty well off compared to some people in Africa and China.
Dale H., 18

For Fun:
How do you let someone know you're interested?

I would let them know how I feel about them, just tell them what I'm feeling.
Damion

A can of gasoline, a book of matches, and a mixed tape of Barry Manilow.
Steve

I guess I would flirt with them and if they seemed to be interested as well, I would tell them.
Candice

If I really like the person, I'd ignore him - hopefully he notices. If only a crush, I'd be flirting for sure.
Arini

Flirting with them is essential. I would give them smiles and glances to let them know. If I had like the slightest idea they liked me, I would probably let them know how I feel.
Megan

Walk a lot of the time back and forth by her to grab her attention and take it from there. Oh, and defend her.
Aranan

I would be all nice and flirty with them, I mean him, then if I knew he liked me back I would tell him.
Carolina

Make eye contact, talk to them, and get to know their friends.
May

I would flirt with him and ignore him at the same time. If I really liked him, I would let him know.
Zunaira

I usually don’t go and talk to girls. I find it more of a turn-on when they come up to me and tell me that they are interested. But if there is someone that I am interested in, I will tell her straight up and
work at it no matter what.
