JC Chasez
"Leave Me Alone"
By Jayne Rae

JC Chasez, one fifth of the temporarily disbanded super-boyband *NSync, is doing his own thing with his new album Schizophrenic. JC says it was important to be different, to separate himself from *NSync and what is popular right now. “I just didn’t go with a formatted approach,” he says, “I didn’t go with what everybody is banging right now in the clubs or what everybody is listening to on the radio. I just did something depending on whatever mood I was in that day. That’s what I did. And it was fun.” He told his label that he just wanted to be left alone to create, and says, “They were really cool about letting me follow my own path.” He says, “I can only do what is inside of me and I am proud of what I have done.”
