OFFICIAL CONTEST RULES
1. The “Ultimate Fashion Internship Contest” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by COTY CANADA Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and is administered by Faze Publications Inc. (the “Administrator”).
2. The Contest begins at approximately 3:00 pm EST on December 1, 2009 and ends on February 18th, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST.
3. The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are between the ages of 13 and 24 years at the time of entry. Parental consent to participate is required if entrant is under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. Written confirmation of such consent may be required by Sponsor or Administrator at any time. Officers, directors and employees of the Sponsors, the Administrator, and their respective parent, affiliates, and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, independent judging organization, or parties engaged in the development, production and distribution of materials related to this Contest, and members of their immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, spouse and children, regardless of where they live) and/or persons living in the same household (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate.
4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter go to www.fazeteen.com, click on the contest link and select “The Ultimate Fashion Internship Contest”. Complete all mandatory fields in the online entry form, including name, address, age, city, postal code, phone number, and email address and submit as instructed. Entry deadline is February 18th, 2010 at 11:59 pm EST.
5. Limit one entry per person and per e-mail address per day.
6. PRIZING:
There are three (3) Prizes available to be won. The Prizes are more specifically described as follows:
Prize 1;
- Faze Photography Volunteer Internship for one day during LG Fashion Week 2010 in Toronto. Winner will have the opportunity to have work published in Faze Magazine and on Fazeteen.com;
- Return transportation for two (2) to Toronto, Ontario as outlined if necessar;
- Two (2) return economy airfare tickets from the major airport closest to the winner’s Canadian residence to Toronto International Airport;
- Two (2) nights accommodation (double occupancy) if necessary;
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner for the winner and guest for the duration of the trip if necessary;
- Hair and makeup makeover for winner on day of internship;
- $500 shopping spree for winner for outfit to be worn during internship.
Prize 2;
- Faze Journalism Volunteer Internship for one day during LG Fashion Week 2010 in Toronto. Winner will have the opportunity to have work published in Faze Magazine and on Fazeteen.com;
- Return transportation for two (2) to Toronto, Ontario as outlined if necessary;
- Two (2) return economy airfare tickets from the major airport closest to the winner’s Canadian residence to Toronto International Airport;

Prize 3;
- Faze Video Host Volunteer Internship for one day during LG Fashion Week 2010 in Toronto. Winner will have the opportunity to have work published on Faze.ca;
- Return transportation for two (2) to Toronto, Ontario as outlined if necessar;
- Two (2) return economy airfare tickets from the major airport closest to the winner’s Canadian residence to Toronto International Airport;
- Two (2) nights accommodation (double occupancy) if necessary;
- Breakfast, lunch and dinner for the winner and guest for the duration of the trip if necessary;
- Hair and makeup makeover for winner on day of internship;
- $500 shopping spree for winner for outfit to be worn during internship.
If the winner and/or winner’s guest are both minors, under the age of majority, then the parent or legal guardian of the winner or guest must accompany the minor(s) at all times. A complimentary travel package consisting of the same air travel, accommodation and meals as winner will be made available for a parent or guardian to accompany the Grand Prize winner and guest.
Written permission from the parent/legal guardian of the minor guest allowing that minor to travel with the winner and her parent/guardian will be required prior to travel. Failure to obtain/provide such documentation may result in forfeiture of the prize.
Winner, guest (and, if applicable, parent/legal guardian) must have no restrictions on their ability to travel during LG Fashion Week 2010 or prize may be forfeited, in whole or in part. Approximate retail value of each Prize is $3,000 based on sample [Vancouver, BC] departure for 2 people. Actual prize value depends on location of winner’s residence, number of persons, and dates of booking and departure. No financial compensation will be made or required if actual costs are lower or higher than this amount.
Publication of winner’s work is subject to quality standards and rights clearances, as determined in the sole discretion of the Administrator. Administrator reserves the right to refuse publication for any reason. Internship position is volunteer only. No compensation (other than the prize, as described above), benefits, or insurance will be included as part of the prize. Under no circumstances is the internship to be deemed as causing a relationship of employment or agency as between the Administrator and/or Sponsor and the winner.
Prize must be accepted as awarded, has no cash equivalent, is not refundable or transferable and will not be substituted except in Sponsor’s sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater monetary value in the event the prize described is unavailable due to circumstances beyond its control.
7. Selection Process:
A random draw for each prize category will be conducted by the Administrator or its agents from all entries received, on or about February 19th, 2010, in Toronto, Ontario at approximately 3:00 pm EST. The selected entrants will be contacted by telephone, email or via Facebook platform within 24 hours from the draw. In the event the selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) days of the first attempt of contact, another selected entrant will be chosen.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received in each category. To be declared a winner, selected entrant (and, if entrant is a minor, the entrant’s parent/legal guardian) must first complete a written declaration as outlined in Rule 10 and entrant must correctly answer a mathematical, skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise. Winner’s guest must also sign and return, prior to travel, a release and declaration releasing the Sponsor and Administrator from liability with respect to the Contest and the Prize. Trip winner’s guest cannot be changed after the declaration is received.
In the event the selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) business days of the first attempt of contact, fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly, is unable to travel on the dates required, or does not return the release documentation by the dates required, entrant will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Administrator and another entrant may be selected who will be subject to disqualification on the same basis.
8. No correspondence pertaining to this Contest will be entered into except with potential winners. The Sponsor and Administrator accept no liability for printing errors on material distributed for this Contest.
9. THE WINNERS
a) It is the winner’s and the winner’s guest's responsibility to provide for any additional expenses not included in the Prize as described herein, including, but not limited to, travel insurance, luggage fees, gratuities, return transportation between the winner's home and the major airport nearest her Canadian residence.
- Sponsors and prize suppliers are not responsible in the event winner and/or guest are refused entry onto an aircraft for any reason. Any unused portion of the Prize, as a result, will be forfeited.
- The winner and her guest must travel together on the same itinerary. Date of travel will be confirmed by Sponsors but will be taken on or around March 2009. Trip must be booked and taken on the dates and times specified by Administrator or its agent, or will be forfeited, in Sponsor’s or Administrator’s discretion. No responsibility is assumed by Sponsor or Administrator for canceled, delayed, suspended or re-scheduled events or travel for any reason whatsoever beyond its control and no compensation will be provided by Sponsor or Administrator in such an event. Transportation and accommodations are subject to availability, blackout periods, government restrictions and regulations, hotel, airline, airport or other transportation restrictions and regulations. Other restrictions may apply.
- Each winner will be required to submit photos, video, written articles, blogs or videos as part of their internship. All such materials created by the winner must be an original work, created by the winner herself. Publication is subject to the sole discretion of the Administrator. All rights in and to such materials created by the winner are the exclusive property of Administrator, and winner waives all moral rights therein. Administrator shall have exclusive rights in and to such materials, to copy, edit, publish, modify, or otherwise use in any format or in any media whatsoever, worldwide, in perpetuity, without any further notice or compensation.
10. Winner’s Release: Before being declared a winner, the selected entrants (and their respective parent/legal guardian, if the entrant is a minor) must first sign and return to Administrator a declaration, release and assignment document, confirming compliance with these Official Contest Rules, releasing Sponsor and Administrator from all liability related to the Contest and the Prize, and assigning all intellectual property rights in and to works completed by the selected entrant to Administrator, and waiving all moral rights therein.
11. All entries become the property of Administrator. Administrator and Sponsor assume no responsibility for (a) lost, delayed, late, destroyed, garbled or misdirected entries, which will be void; (b) technical, hardware, software, network, or telephone failures of any kind, lost or unavailable network connection, congestion or unavailability of any website, fraud, incomplete, failed or delayed computer transmissions, whether caused by the Administrator, users or by any of the equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest; (c) or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of submissions which may damage a user's system or limit a user's ability to participate in the Contest; or (d) any other technical or human error, or any fraud, misconduct or technical failures, that may impede the integrity of the Contest as determined by the Sponsors. Subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) with respect to residents of Quebec, Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond Administrator’s control, corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest. In the event of early termination of the Contest, subject to the approval of the Régie in Quebec, a notice will be posted online and a random drawing to award all prizes may be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to the time of termination. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt. In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e. the person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other party responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail address).
12. By entering this Contest, winners agree to be governed by these Official Contest Rules, and consent to the use of their personal information by Administrator and its authorized agents for the purpose of administrating this Contest. Winners further consent to use and disclosure of their names, address (city only), and photograph, without further notice, consent or compensation, in a winner’s list in any media (including the Internet), and for advertising purposes related to this Contest.
13. For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des Alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
14. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations.
15. Sponsor is an advertiser only, and is not responsible for the administration of the Contest or the fulfillment of prizes.
