1. The “I AM ME: A Celebration of Individuality Contest” (the “Contest”) is sponsored by COTY CANADA Inc. (the “Sponsor”) and is administered by Faze Publications Inc. (the “Administrator”).
2. The Contest begins at approximately 3:00 pm ET on November 11, 2009 and ends on December 14th, 2009 at 11:59 pm ET.
3. The Contest is open to all legal residents of Canada who are between the ages of 13 and 24 years at the time of entry. Parental consent to participate is required if entrant is under the age of majority in their province or territory of residence. Written confirmation of such consent may be required by Sponsor or Administrator at any time. Officers, directors and employees of the Sponsors, the Administrator, and their respective parent, affiliates, and related companies, advertising and promotional agencies, independent judging organization, or parties engaged in the development, production and distribution of materials related to this Contest, and members of their immediate families (defined as parents, siblings, spouse and children, regardless of where they live) and/or persons living in the same household (whether related or not) are not eligible to participate.
4. NO PURCHASE NECESSARY. To enter go to www.faze.ca (the “Contest Website”), click on the contest link and select the “I AM ME” contest. Complete all mandatory fields in the online entry form, including name, address, age, city, postal code, phone number, and email address and submit as instructed. Entry deadline is December 14th, 2009 at 11:59 pm ET.
5. Limit one entry per person and per e-mail address per day.
6. PRIZING:
There are three (3) Prizes available to be won. Each Prize consists of the following:
- Complete set of Harajuku Lovers Eau de Toilette Spray consisting of 5 - 30ml bottles;
- Vera Wang Princess Eau de Toilette Spray (100ml);
- Vera Wang Princess Body Lotion (150ml);
- A selection of Rimmel makeup products;
- A selection of Sally Hansen nail products;
- + $500 in the form of a cheque made payable to the winner or the winner’s parent or legal guardian, if winner is a minor.
Approximate retail value of each Prize is $1,000.
Prize must be accepted as awarded, cannot be redeemed for cash and is not refundable or transferable except in Sponsors’ sole discretion. Sponsor reserves the right to substitute a prize of equal or greater value in the event the prize described in unavailable for any reason due to circumstances beyond their control.
7. Selection Process:
A random draw will be conducted by the Administrator or its agents in Toronto, Ontario on or about December 15th, 2009 at approximately 3:00 pm ET from all entries received. The selected entrants will be contacted by telephone or email within 24 hours of the draw.
The odds of winning depend on the number of eligible entries received. To be declared a winner, selected entrant (and if entrant is a minor, their parent/legal guardian) must first complete a written declaration as outlined in Rule 9 and the winner must correctly answer a mathematical, skill-testing question without assistance of any kind, whether mechanical or otherwise.
In the event the selected entrant cannot be contacted within three (3) business days of the first attempt of contact or fails to answer the skill-testing question correctly or does not return the release documentation by the date required, the entrant will be disqualified at the sole discretion of the Administrator and another entrant may be selected who will be subject to disqualification on the same basis.
8. No correspondence pertaining to this Contest will be entered into except with potential winners. The Sponsor and Administrator accept no liability for printing errors on material distributed for this Contest. Prize will only be delivered to verified winners.
9. Selected entrants will be required to sign and return, within the time stipulated by Administrator, a full release and indemnity form (“Declaration and Release Form”) stating that he/she has read, understood and complied with these Official Contest Rules, and authorizes the Sponsor and Administrator to use and disclose his/her name, address (city/province), photograph, likeness, sobriquet and voice, in connection with any promotion, publicity or information purposes relating to this Contest at no additional compensation, beyond the awarding of the prize.
The Declaration and Release Form also releases the Sponsor, Administrator, their respective affiliates, subsidiaries, related companies, and all their respective directors, officers, employees, shareholders, representatives and agents, successors and assigns (collectively the “Releasees”) from and against any and all liability, claims of damages and causes of action, of any kind whatsoever, whether at law or in equity, and including but not limited to personal injury and loss or damage to property, that the winner or any of the representatives, heirs, next of kin or assignees (collectively, “Representatives”) may have or which may hereinafter accrue to the winner’s Representatives as a result directly or indirectly from their participation in the contest or receipt or use or acceptance of the prize.
10. By entering, entrants agree to abide by the Official Rules and agree that the decisions of Sponsor and Administrator are final and binding in all matters relating to this Contest.
11. Sponsor and Administrator reserve the right at their sole discretion to disqualify, from this Contest and any future contest, sweepstakes or other Contest conducted by Sponsors, any individual found or believed to be tampering with the entry process or the operation of the Contest or Contest Website; to be acting in violation of the Official Rules or in an unsportsmanlike or disruptive manner, or with intent to annoy, abuse, threaten or harass any other person. ANY ATTEMPT BY AN ENTRANT OR ANY OTHER PERSON TO DELIBERATELY DAMAGE ANY WEBSITE OR UNDERMINE THE LEGITIMATE OPERATION OF THE CONTEST IS A VIOLATION OF CRIMINAL AND CIVIL LAWS AND SHOULD SUCH AN ATTEMPT BE MADE, SPONSORS RESERVE THE RIGHT TO SEEK DAMAGES FROM ANY SUCH PERSON TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW.
12. All entries become the property of Administrator. By entering the contest, entrants agree that neither the Sponsor nor the Adminstrator will be liable for: a) any incomplete, incorrect or inaccurate capture of information, whether caused by the Contest Website users or by any equipment or programming associated with or utilized in the Contest, or by any technical or human error which may occur in the processing of entries or administration of the Contest; b) the theft, destruction or unauthorized access to, or alteration of, entries; c) any problems with, or technical malfunctions of, telephone networks or lines, computer on-line systems, servers or providers, computer equipment, software, viruses or bugs; d) any failure of any email to be received by or from Sponsor or Administrator for any reason including but not limited to traffic congestion on the Internet or at any website or combination thereof, interrupted or unavailable networks; or e) damage to a participant’s or other person’s system occasioned by participation or downloading of materials in this Contest. Sponsor and Administrator do not warrant that access to or use of the Contest Website will be uninterrupted or error-free.
13. Subject to the approval of the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux (the “Régie”) with respect to residents of Quebec, Administrator reserves the right, in its sole discretion, to cancel or suspend this Contest should a virus, bug, computer problem, unauthorized human intervention or other cause beyond Administrator's control, corrupt the administration, security, fairness or proper play of the Contest. In the event of early termination of the Contest, subject to the approval of the Régie in Quebec, a notice will be posted online and a random drawing to award all prizes may be conducted from among all eligible entries received prior to the time of termination. Proof of submission does not constitute proof of receipt. In the event of a dispute regarding any entry, the entry will be deemed made by the authorized account holder of the e-mail address submitted at the time of entry (i.e. the person who is assigned to an e-mail address by an Internet access provider, on-line service provider or other party responsible for assigning e-mail addresses for the domains associated with the submitted e-mail address).
14. By entering this Contest, winners agree to be governed by these Official Contest Rules, and consent to the use of their personal information by Administrator and its authorized agents for the purpose of administrating this Contest. Winners further consent to use and disclosure of their names, address (city only), and photograph, without further notice, consent or compensation, in a winner’s list in any media (including the Internet), and for advertising purposes related to this Contest and agree to sign a release to this effect.
15. For Québec residents, any litigation respecting the conduct or organization of a publicity contest may be submitted to the Régie des alcools, des courses et des jeux for a ruling. Any litigation respecting the awarding of a prize may be submitted to the Régie only for the purpose of helping the parties reach a settlement.
16. This Contest is subject to all applicable federal, provincial, municipal and local laws and regulations.
17. Sponsor is an advertiser only, and is not responsible for the administration of the Contest or the fulfillment of prizes.
