ALYSSA RUBINO: teen star on the rise
by Karizza Sanchez

At 12-years-old, Alyssa Rubino became one of the youngest Canadian singers to warrant cover girl status for Billboard Magazine.

Her single “Keep on Dancing” has received air time on Top 40 and Rhythmic radio stations. She was even invited to walk the red carpet at the Grammys and the Junos. That’s right, Alyssa is a “Girl Wonder.”

Alyssa RubinoHer singing career took off when she was 10, after she told her father she was ready to go into the studio and record.“I just knew that’s what I wanted to do,” she says.

Now, in her busy schedule, the pop star is balancing her singing career with giving back to her community. She’s set to go on tour for an anti-bullying campaign across Canada and the United States. “I want to let kids know that words matter and words do hurt.”

And she’s bringing that positive message to her album, Every Girl’s World, which will be released later this year. “I want girls to know they don’t have to change for anyone and that they should never give up on their dreams because they’re never too far.”
